Default BSA red dot sight?

i bought a model RD30 from wally world a while back in order to put it on one of my .22lr pistols which i have since decided not to. i was thinking of puting it on my .44mag encore barrel and i was wondering if anyone has any experience with this red dot sight and if so do you think that it will hold up to the recoil of handloaded 300gr XTP's?
thanks.
chuck.
