New Browning recoil pad

I have a left handedBrowning A-Bolt in 300 win mag. The recoil pad on this thing sucks, it seems as hard as the rest of the stock. Does anyone know of a good replacement pad? Thanks

umm in cabelas catalog there is a limb saver recoil pad that is 29.99 or you can get the slip on one thta is 24.99 and they both take up to 50% of the recoil

I have a Sims pre-fit limbsaver and several Pachmayer Decelerators(grind to fits)both are excellent recoil pads, plus effective. If you can get a pre-fit to work for you, great but I have found more often than not they don't fit just right! If you run into this problem take the rifle to a gunsmith and ask him to install a Pachmayer Decelerator (grind to fit). It will cost you a few bucks for his efforts but IMO well worth the expense.

Good Luck

The best replacement pad that has worked for many years and is a good looking pad is a Pachmayr pad. You want your local smith to put on a Black #325 recaoil pad. It a great pad and basically is used for high powdered rifles and shotguns. vangunsmith
