Thompson Encore pistols

I'm wanting to get a thompson pistol for hunting deer, i really like the 7mm08. But i really don't know what these guns normally cost. I have heard that you can get a package with scope and everything,is this true? Or would i be better off buying a gun and scope separately? Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

I have not seen any Package deals from TC but I can't say they don't exist. Some bigger gun stores may put packages together. The Encore is not cheap and I think just the gun alone will go 450-500 bucks. Pistol scopes are not cheap either. Burris makes a good pistol scope as does Leupold. Weaver used to build good pistol scopes but I have not tried any of late. Be ready to practice a lot. Shooting the hand cannons well does not come real easy. I have hunted a lot with the Contender and the TC Contender in 35 Remington is a favorite of mine. Good Luck.

thanks for the reply. That gives me a better idea of what kind of price range. I know that sounds like a silly question, but i live in a rural area that has no gun or archery shops. Closest one is an hours drive. Thanks again.
