Either one of them will do the job but I would go with the 300 mag just simply because it had a bigger calibre and would better chance of killing it and has harder hitting power.
But the choice is all up to you.

300 Mag or 30-06 would be my choice. Way more choice of bullets and more versitile.

I would try to shoot them both to determine if the extra recoil of the .300 Mag is going to be a problem. If it is, I would tend to agree with James B. The 30/06 may be a slightly better round for large animals at short to medium distances than the 7 Rem Mag. Pretty close, though . . .

I think that the 300 is a better choice. the recoil will be about the same. But the 300 is just more gun. Nothinhg wrong w/ the 7mag though.

Upto griz either would be fine, however when your talking big bears I think 338 win mag or larger would be a better choice. If you have nothing now I would buy a 7mm rem mag and 338 win mag, this will handle your requirements and diversify your gun cabinet. However if you already own a 270, 308, 3006. etcthen keep it and go with 338 win mag. This equally serves the purpose and diversifies your collection. If your looking for just 1 gun to handle deer to grizzly, consider a 338 win mag or similar. IMHO the 7mm mag, 300 win or 3006 wouldn't be the medicine I would want in chasing a griz. Just like the often debate over the 270 for elk it can be done but is not opitimal. The biggest difference here is elk don't bite back!

I would choose the 300 Mag. There are a ton of factory loads available for it ranging from 150-200 grains and there are still a couple of loads in 220 grain out there. I would definitely look to the 200 gr loading for big bears.

i was set on saying the 300 first till u said 300yds in my knowledge the 7mm would be the best for that kinda shot due to its a smaller and faster cartridge. 7mm would take smaller bears elk and deer but not cleanely on a moose unless u used real heavy bullets and had close vital shots and u wear extremely sure of your rifles accuracy. but im biting my tongue in saying this but id go for 300 win mag. 1shot
