RE: IDPA shooters?
Don't shoot IDPA, but a buddy does, and one of my favorite gunshops here caters to the IDPA crowd (the owner is very active in one of the local clubs).
IDPA seems to have gone the way of IPSC, you have shooters who want realworld problems and carry realworld guns and gear, and then you have the gamesmen who get into equipment races.
Lots of shooters use either Springfield Armoryor Para-Ordnance as a basis for an IDPA gun. My buddy uses his carry gun and holster, a Sig in .357Sig.
