Looks good. Is it a 338 win mag? And what king of scope is that?

Goose,
Great looking gun,you will love the .338 Win Mag.Scope looks to be a Burris 4.5-12 x 40 mm,Posi-loc.It don't appear to be a Black Diamond but maybe a Signiture Seiries.

Hey Goose those shells are they Nosler Accubonds, what grains?
Thanks BBJ

I love the .338 gereat gun!!

For now I will be keeping the original stock but may change it later.

The scope is a Burris Signature Series 3x12x44 with Posi Loc! You were close BBJ!

And yes the shells are Nosler Accubonds 225 grain! Love them also.....after last year that will be all I shoot!!

Glad you guys like it...I know I do!

I assume this is your new elk rig,I just love the .338 on elk.

Not bad for a guess, what kind of FPS are you getting with those 225 gr.I use 210 part. from federal.

The gun was new last year and definetly will get the job done!!

Do you shoot a .338? If so do you reload??

Thsoe are factory loads which the book says 2800FPS...but I am going to reload 200 grain AB's and I hope to get closer to 3000FPS!!

I do shoot the .338 Win mag,but I shoot the Federal 210 gr Nosler Part.
I shot some 200 gr Balistic Tips last year for deer, they were moving up around that 3000 fps mark.I think they were just under it,I buy some ammo from a guy at the Gun show in Great Falls MT,he loads custom ammo at a fraction of the top name brands.I bought 4 box's of 200 gr BLT from him last @ 19.00 a box, just wanted to try them.
I ended up shooting my elk with the BLT and my deer with the Partions.Go figure. Both rounds did the job,the buck droped on the spot and the bull ran about 10 yds.
I have been eye balling those 225 Accubonds, those might be in my .338 this year.
