Default ballistic tip huniting bullet

What is your favorit ballistic tiped bullet for hunting deer?

I plan on getting a box of180 gr accubond for my 30 06 for hunting mulies this year.
how about hornday do they have good hunting ballstic tiped bullets for this kind of hunting?

Winchester Supreme, in 140 grain in one rifle and my son likes the same only in 130 grain, they both shoot excellent.

For deer a bullet that is accurat is the big issue.
Either Ballistic Tips or Hornady Accubond bullets should work great.

Hornady's regular plastic-tipped bullet is the SST. I have used these in the .270 130 grain and thought they were designed mainly for deer - a little soft for elk. Their premium one is the Interbond; which I have tried on paper, but could never get to shoot tight enough to take into the field.

The Swift Scirocco is another plastic tipped premium bullet that is highly regarded around my neck of the woods. Tough enough for elk, yet will open up on game as small as antelope.

I shoot Hornady's 150 grain SST in my .308. Has performed very well so far on the whitetails.

I personally have found Noslers both shoot better and performed better on game IMEwhen it comes to polymer bullets. For deer I think the Nosler Ballistic Tip is about as good as it gets and have taken a number of antelope, whitetail and mule deer with out a hint of trouble in variety of flavours.

Last fall I used the 160gr Nosler AB (.284 cal) to harvest both a moose and elk they performed as expectedwith a good wound channel, soup for vitals while stillretaining enough weight to pass through both animals. I haven't used them on deer but would suspect they would work fine, not sure their really required in 3006/180gr though! As always pick what the rifle likes to toss is the best solution when it comes to choosing your deer load.

ya my rifle like the heavy bullets and i dont handlaod so the 180 gr accubond is all they have for the 30 06. think they should still expand properly on deer sized game shoudlnt they?
