None that I know of. Police department might be able to run it for you, but all that will do is tell you if it was stolen.

If he's worried about it being stolen, he should ask the seller for the serial number to have it run. If the seller knows its stolen, I doubt he'll give it up or come up with some other reason not to. If he gets the number, the local sherriff's office will probablyrun it for him.

No, there isn't a place on the internet for you to check this gun 4 him.

If you do get someone in law enforcement to run a clearance on the gun's serial number, and it comes up stolen; expect confiscation of the gun and an investigation into the circumstances . . . .I been down this path.

Roskoe is correct. I have a friend who's a cop.He flat told me if he runs a number and it comes up stolen they will want to know where the gun is.I'm sure there are ways around it.If the seller knows it's stolen chances are he won't give you the number to haveran through the database.I had a few I bought that I had no idea about. I had them ran and received a print out showing they were clean.I would rather have it confiscated then get caught with stolen property.Even then you might have to prove where it came from to clear yourself.
