Does any ever clean out their lug recess

Saw a kit for it. I had my smith do it last time I had a rifle in there. Not much in there.

Oh no I actually had a aluminum rod made up just for that application..I used to use toothbrushes though Maybe some day I'll gradiate up to one of those high falluting bore scopes.

ridge, you need to give her a break. She cooks and cleans and works full time so you can shoot all day and then comes home and has to worry about lug recess's.

I bought the Sinclair action cleaning kit, which includes a lug recess cleaning tool. I don't use it much, maybe once every year or so per rifle. I haven't found much crud in the recesses, so I'm not sure it was worth the cost.
