Default Couple of shotgun questions

Ok first off i bought a red dot scope for my mossberg 500.i was wandering how everyone else lined it up good?i just set up a piece of cardboard and shot at it around 10-15 yards til i was pretty well centered.i done this with my full choke with 2 3/4 7#7 shells.,how much different will this shoot when i throw in my turkey load and switch to my undertaker choke?also anyone else with this gun and a undertaker choke what load does it like best?by the way mine is the undrtaker h.s.(hevi-shot)

You have the right idea. Start kind of short, and make any necessary corrections. Then move the target back, like another 10 yards. And then see where you are at. Good luck.

I shoot a mossberg 500 as well. Try out a few different loads at different ranges. When you put in the turkey choke you will see a huge difference. Using a Mad Max 2, I was able to get all the pellets (#5 shot) in a 1 inch circle at 15 yards, and with a 8"x8" square at 40 yards. I have had success with the 3" Winchester Super X turkey loads (#4,#5 shot). The Remington High Velocity loads are nice too.

im using a rest, and the reason i was using the full choke to get it started was bc of the cost of the shells and i just wanted to get it close and after shes where i wanna her ill switch tubes and see what ive got.
