Default Can Someone identify this fish

Will someone please help me identify what species of fish this is? I know it is one of the species of buffalo, but I'm not sure if it is smallmouth, big mouth, or black. It is quite large it weighed a little over 38 pounds. If it is a big mouth, it is within 4 pounds of the Mississippi state record for this fish.

Thanks for the help.

Buffalo or carp. During their spawn, its great fun to bow fish for them.
