Default Help!!!

Anyone know how to remove old carpet from a pontoon boat? I just inherited an old pontoon boat and am really looking foward to being able to take my two sons fishing this year. It needs new carpet though. I have already looked into the new carpet and glue but have no idea how to remove the old carpet. Any input would be greatly apperciated.

congrats on the pontoon boat. They are a lot of fun to fish from and party on. You might try a flat shovel and use it like you were removing shingles. Get it started with a small pinch bar and be careful you don't wreck the wood or whatever the sub surface is. I bet once you get it started it will come off pretty easily. A little heat from a hair dryer might soften up the glue. Good luck.

soak it in gasoline and throw a match on it...haha...leave it in the sun or somewhere where it will get warm and it should come off easier.
