Default PERCH TIPS AND TRICKS

Im new to perch fishing and want to get out and try it for the first time ever. What rig would you use, how deep would you fish, what lure or bait or type and color of jig would you use? Thanks in advance

Ice fishing? If so, get a smaller light weight ice rod, white jig with maggots and find some people who know where the fish are. You can almost always find a few of some frozen docks, but find some guy with radar and set up next to him. That is how i started. Good luck

oh, i usually fish 1-2 feet off the bottom, today i caught 40 fish that way, i couldn't get the hook down to that depth fast enough. I would set the rod into the holder once it was at that depth and i would take a drink of coffee, and BAM my rod would start jigging, i couldn't get more that a sip at a time!!! lol

a smalll swedish pimple spoon, with a small minnow works great in my waters....then above it about 2 feet ill tie on a little teardrop jig and tip that with a waxworm or maggot, to catch the high fish.

We get them in between 10 and 40 feet of water by jigging a weighted bibit using a small lite weight ice rod and reel and don't usually need to tip with bait. Fish within a foot or two of bottom. Go to a bait shop and ask where they are getting perch and follow the crowds.
