RE: Who's been Ice Fishing?
I have been at it for over two weeks. I mostly fish for sunnies, bluegill and crappie. Fishing has been good for sunnies with the average catch at around 50 pounds a day. Crappies should start soon.

carp,
I went out yesterday afternoon and fished portage lake, with my buddy, fished for 4 hours i had 1 on it got off, my buddy got 1 under size eye about 13 inches and that was it for the day. pretty slow last eve, but that morning i guess they did pretty good acording to my dad, in which he got 4 good sized eye's and a couple of pike...i guess i should of got my but out of bed cause it was a moring bite[&:], O well thats why they call it fishing, and not catching!
Nope havent had a chance yet but it will be soon hopefully i am planning to buy a new auger with my next paycheck but i work every other weekend and have school during the days but i will find some time. If i have any luck i will post it and i have to try and get some of my friends to come with

If you dont like my fire, then dont come around, cause Im gonna burn one down.
I finaly got on the ice 1-8-2005. Fishing was slow, the kid got four, I got one, and none where keepers, but my 12 year old had a blast. I have one of those clam 2000 things. We put everything on it, and he drags it to where he wants to fish. I drill, and then we fish.
Supposed to be below zero here this weekend, but I have a heater and I think we should be OK inside the clam.

Too darn cold up here to be frozen water fishing right now! I did manage to get out over christmas to hook some pike, a few burbots and only 1 eye made it's way to the pan. Hopefully in the next month things will be better in terms of the weather, usually March is the must fish month here for good qaunity/qaulity of most fish species through the ice.
