Default Keni/ russian river

Two weeks ago i was in alaska and went fishing in the keni river down stream of where the russian river enters the keni river. Me and dad walked out on to a sand bar and fished off it. out there you have to use a russian river fly. we cough 35 sockeye salmon that day. we didnt keep any because they were realy red. but that has to be the best day fishing i have ever and probaly ever have. some of the reds got snagged but most were cought in the mouth. they all weighed between 9- 10 pounds.

Default RE: Keni/ russian river

I go up there every summer for kings on the Kenai and reds on the Russian! In July they are wonderfully fresh, and such good eating too! I love that river....
