Popere,
Get the DOW's book "Fishing Close to Home." It seems to be accurate as to species, etc. Also get out a regular Denver street map, and start looking for blue spots. I found a pretty fair pond that way - although it has an awful lot of carp in it! It's a pretty rare park pond that does not have bass in it!
