Default quick help before i leave saturday

I am leaving tomorrow (saturday) for Lake Olallie, Oregon. I was looking at their site, which was just updated. It showed that all of the biggest fish this week have been caught on spinners. Blue Fox, and Martin spinner. The current leader this week is 13 pounds. It showed a 11 and a 5 also. All on spinners. Now here is the question: how do you fish spinners??? Lol, I really don't know! No weight, do i let it sink before i start the retrieve, or do i retrieve once it touches the water? Also how fast do i reel? All in one motion or lots of stops? I really need to know some basics here. I am usually a fly fisherman or a bait fisherman. Not really much experience in the spinner department. Thanks!!!

I will post pics when i get back,
Idaho

Maybe too late, but fish it like a jig.
