Default fished the vanish.....

well i told you guys id tell you how i liked the vanish.....and im here to do that......i bought the 4lb for trout fishing.......went to 2 creeks first.....first one was high and muddy.....and i couldnt find a fish.....so i left and went to a smaller stream....it was dang near dried up already....these arent spring creeks or anything.....they are stocked for put and take fishing.....barely any hold over for the next year.....i did notice it fished my lures nicely and it was dang near invisible......i didnt even see a fish at the second stream so i went home and did alot of yardwork and such.....next day i went to a lake to troutfish.....fishing minnows under a wooden bobber.......casted REALLY nice......only thing ive had cast nicer was stren easy cast.....but it was too stiff for my likings........the line was almost invisible.........which is nice with the pressured trout that seen it all.....now if i can get clear hooks......hmmmmm one thing i did but didnt like was the way it sank when fishing the bobber......normally i can keep the mono on top and its easy to see the slack build up as the bobber drifts with the current and easy to control.....but the line would go just under the water surface and was always in contact with the bobber but there was slack under the water instead of ontop i guess.....and it was hard to control without reeling in out of the strike zone.....i learned to get it past the strike zone and have the line nice and tight when i got the bobber into the strike zone and hope a fish hit real soon....and usually one did.....i caught about 10 in 2 hrs i think....missed a few....most of the ones i missed were because i was learning to deal with the line sinking....a new problem....but i overcame it and learned to fish it.....this weekend ill probably go out again and see how much memory this stuff has.....seems very soft......so it shouldnt be bad.....all in all i like it.......also very tough line....didnt have one break off.....and it ties a nice knot........

Default RE: fished the vanish.....

I like it best for leaders when fishing in most situations but it does seem to sink more. Have caught pretty big salmon and steelhead using 4-6 lb leaders of it. Kepp trying it you shoud have good luck!
