A 30" - 10# MALE??? Sounds like a freak of nature to me, or a nice female?? Either way, congrat's on the nice eye.

It definitely was a male, it jizzed all over the boat. My buddy caught a male about a month or so ago out of saginaw bay that was 10# and 32". No BS.[&o]

Here is my largest walleye 32" and a bit over ten pounds (male). I cought it ice fishing on Saginaw Bay this winter. The one on the right is a 6.7 pounder I cought on the same day.

I haven't caught many walleye... but the few that I've caught have been real nice.

My biggest was a 33", 12.5 lb post-spawn female... caught at noon on a sunny spring day.

And my second biggest was a 29" 8.5 lb post-spawn female caught the same day... at dusk.

Both were caught in Potholes Reservoir, WA... trolling a smaller chartreuse Hot 'n Tot right along the face of the rip rap dam in about 12' of water.

Got a pic of the 29-incher. Was so excited about catching the 33 and showing it to a friend in an adjacent boat... that I forgot that I had a camera in my ammo can. DOH!!!

I released both fish.
