I hear everyone on hear saying that they use 4LB test for small creek trout. I just bought some 6LB Stren. Will i have any less luck with the more Lb test? Will it be more visible? Thanks

I have used both 4 and 6lb line. I cant see where it has really effected the number of fish that i have caught. They hit on 6 the same they did on 4. That is small stream trout also.

If these are hatchery trout, you can probably get by with 20 lb test.

6 lb should work just fine. I have used 4-8 lb line really with no difference on trout.
