A good brown trout
Got this brown trout earlier today. He was 26 inches long and weighed right at 7 1/2 lbs.
I got him in Monarch Lake in my native CO. This has always been one of my favorite lakes and usually produces pretty good but normally the fish run about 2 lbs. This fish hit my first cast as soon as the lure hit the water. I think I must have hit him between the eyes with it. I was using an ultra-light rod with 2 lb line and a 00 silver Mepps. It was a pretty good battle and he actually broke my rod as soon as I grabbed him.
So my fishing today consisted of a single cast. But,I'm not complaining !

Did you get run over by the goofy truck? You're about 3 posts from getting on the ignore list. How about you post some pics of things you've caught or shot?

That had to be the goofiest post he put up in the two days he was on here before he got banned for a year. I just saw this thread and LOL when I read his response. That is one beautiful brownie!
