Default My trip to ALASKA

http://community.webshots.com/user/joejersey

Here are a few pics from my trip to the Alagnak River near King Salmon. We were on a 7 day float trip. The fishing was the best I' ve ever seen..I caught at least 50-60 rainbows and salmon a day! Fish from 1 to 18 LBS. My arms would hurt at night. It was amazing! Most of my fish were caught on my 5wt. I am also glad I brought a light spinning rod. The weather was great except for 1 day. The guides we had were top notch. I would highly recommend them... This was my second trip to Alaska and by far the best.....

Glad you had a blast. Great pics too btw. Oh I did forget to mention. Alaska now has a 5 person cap the amount of non residents fishing in its waters at one time hehe.....also their is no more room for houses, we are living in portable igloo' s and taxes for ice come july is murder. Did you get to hunt at all???

This trip just blew away our last trip in Lliamna. I have never caught so many fish to make my forearms hurt! I wish I had the time to stay and hunt LIL.. I did manage to meet the man who shot the monster moose in King Salmon..Nice fella.

Stay warm up there.

warm? Thats a relative term!!! Next time you make it up here let me know. Heck I' ll drive to anchorage just to do dinner. Not to mention we could do the kenai for bows and char. Probably nothing like the alagnak but heck, its free LOL!!!

Have a good huntin season and keep in touch.
