Today I was told that what works the best is to swing the fly in front of them. I' ve been using a dead drift. the guy said that works sometimes. Also he said if you use a dead drift in Alaska, you ain' t catchin! Well what do you guys think?
I' m fishing Slate Run, PA for trout tomorrow and then Monday I' ll be going up to the Salmon River in NY to check out the run. I booked a room for two nights on the 22nd and will be fishing three days up there then. It should be really good by then. This year is going to be awesome from what I' ve been told.
