Tournament Update

Hey Fellows,

Life has gotten very busy lately..I only plan tobe on here and update the tournament weights and score sheet on Sundays..

Doing some personal house cleaning..I'm dropping off my son's 1000 dollar TV as well..Trying to get back to the simple life before the electronics came out. { -;

Gangly, thanks for replying to my threaf. It felt great netting my first decent fish of the year. I thought it was bigger than that and using 10 pound mono I even pushed the button 4 times.LOL I have no idea why my face looks depressed in the picture..I was having a great time.

Keeping it simple definitely has its rewards Chuck. Hopefully you come back on Sunday to report 2 huge fish you caught

My weekend was nice. I took the boat out on the lake yesterday for the first time in forever and it was beautiful. The engine is running good but I still have half a tank left on break-in before I can really get on it good. With the 90 Merc I should be able to get about 35-40 out of it with my lard butt and all of the tackle adding to it's weight.

Before I left, I fished for about 15-30 minutes and had no luck, but it was a break-in trip and not a fishing trip so no worries there. I am hoping to take it out later this week or weekend to get in alteast a couple hours of fishing.

Very glad to hear you didn't get ripped off...That lake you mention is a popular lake for big bass..God bless and hope you get a wall hanger..

Matt missed a monster this morning..we were drifting over a rock bar..Big Bertha is not spanwing yet BUT are just off the shore in about 8 foot..

WAM!! set the hook..I'm watching..we are 30 yds from the sure..Matt raises the rod tip up to bring in { What he thought was a typical 2 pounder} rod bends...line peels off the reel and in 2 seconds the monster has gone 30 yds..and wraps around a cat tail stalk...and leaves the hook in the stalk leaving matt with a broken heart..

Good stuff LOL
