Bass Fishing Tips...
Spiced Trick worm....Paint a #7 Split shot bright red { aggressive color for bass} and instead of a bullet sinker use this rig..pinch on with needle nose pliers..add a 4 mm glass rattle in the middle of the worm..I use a 4/0 Mustad worm hook.Very strong.I pre sharpen all hooks before using...The rattles make a HUGE difference in strikes..
Bass Pro has them for about 22.00 for 100.
Flipping Rod.. use a rod you have confidence in..I use a Medium Heavy 6 ' 10" Fenwick..I sanded the handle to fiit my hand..I have a short butt on my rod..Longer butts get in my way.I cut 2 inches off the butt..Works like a charm.
On jig taps set hook immediately..on worm..you have time to feel the fish..Flipping I use Power Pro 20- 40 pound..nothing lighter than 20 when flipping in the stalks or the soup..Pitching on the outside..10 ppound Mono is fine..NO Break offs this year..
I use a Revo S baitcaster..Any bait caster is good in which the drag is good..In flipping the drag is the main concern...I missed alot of jig bass this year until I learned..to set on the tap..
