Default To gangly..others if interested..

Here is a picture of the pit I fish ALOT..before they sprayed for the hydrilla..When I fish at S. Creek Park..This is always my first and last stop..I lost count of all the 5 plus bass taken from here..

This is almost the same spot taken a couple of weeks ago..The top picture is about 75 yds farther east..The entire pit is about 70 yds wide X 200 yds long..
Note the cat tails on the left..that is a canal that leads to 700 more acres to fish..but IMHO this section is the best..and if I was fishing for money..I'd stay here all day. LOL This pit is mostly about 16 foot deep with 2 magor sand/rock bars..The edge of the pit has alot of low trees brances ..I mostly pitch the the edge of the pit under the trees..or cast off the rock bars ..90% of all of my fishing is pitching a black worm..

beautiful area! I wonder how long it will be before any of the hydrilla makes its way back? Nice chunky fish also. Best part about those pictures....no gators, haha j/k. Hopefully the weeds start to build back up for you.

On a side not, I took the new boat out last weekend and had some electrical problems while out on the water, had to get towed in to the nearest marina. The boat is at the mechanics shoo right now and it will be thursday before they get a chance to look at it, so I may be out of a boat for 1-2 weeks. Regardless, tomorrow I am heading out for my first fishing trip on Conroe with a local fellow so I'm pretty stoked about that. Will mostly be doing drop shots, jigs, and carolina rigs. Will let ya'll know how it goes.

That area Aaron is where I took you...but the bad moon got us LOL ..hey got to blame it on something..

Got something funny to tell ya...yesterday's 2nd fish..I'm a 3rd of the way down OUR back pit..I feel the pick up and see line move. I get set...ready SET..OH CRAP!!! I have no drag on my reel at all.

I quickly tightened that baby up and LO AND BEHOLD the bass is still running with my worm. I set again and up pops my 4 1/2 pounder..BUT guess who is also eye balling her..OUR 10 foot friend..The gator wants a free meal.He has his body in over drive and doesn't care about me at all..I quickly take pic..weigh fish and put her back in the water..He was very bold yesterday..

good pic's Chuck, looks like all the grass is gone, hope it'll work out but i love the stuff....anyway good pic's as always...

gangly, i can tell you some places to hit on conroe, i always like fishing up river, 1097 bridge and up...peach creek can be awesome as well as some other junk up that way, plus it gets you away from the big boats and water turds

AWESOME MT Hands, I greatly appreciate the heads up. From everything I have read and been told, the bass fishing is best on the north side of 1097. I am going out tonight with a fellow and hopefully we catch some decent fish. Thanks again for the information, Ill look up Peach Creek and see what I can find.
