best bait for crappie?

what is the best bait/set-up for crappie?

I have had my best success on live minnows.....

if i had to use some sort of artificial bait it would be this crappie jig in different colors or these tubes.

Live minnows and an ultra lite rod with 4 pound line.

Live bait..

Tie on a gold hook # 10
carefully hook minnow through both lips.
Pinch on the tnest split shot acailable..about 10 inches above the hook
Use a bobber and fish minnow about 2 foot from the bottom...
They bite best when drifting slowly...


Artificial..drift small shad darts or crappie jigs on the bottom..or with a bobber like the minnow..

a nice breeze is a blessing..let the wind do the fishing for ya.
