Default Summertime Vacation: 2011 [picture heavy]

Took a few days off from reality to spend in Northern Michigan. Weather was awful, many cold fronts moving through made fish moody. Rain was on and off for all 3 days about every half hour, but we made the best of what we had.

First fish of the trip, what a way to start. 5.34 lbs

Downpour Northern

Another Northern Back to Back Casts Downpouring Rain

Another 20+ incher pig

River inlet monster, 20+ inches

18 inch Smallmouth, 3.81 lbs

17 inch Smallmouth, 2.90 lbs

Last fish of the trip, another 20+ inch Largemouth.

Great Fish BH114, CONGRATS! Did something else try to take a bite out of that northern while you were reeling it in?

Wound was healing. I would love to see the fish that put the gash in him though!

All of the big Largemouths came on jigs with trailors and spinnerbaits.

The Smallmouth came mainly on senkos with the occasional one on a spinnerbait.

The topwater bite was nearly non existent with the fronts that were moving through, which was disappointing to me.
