Default Took my son out for the first time yesterday

And now he's (pardon the pun) hooked! We spent about 5 hours out at the local state park. He learned everything from how to use a throw net to how to take a bluegill off the hook. I set out some lines for catfish, but didn't get a single run on them. Meanwhile, he was set up with wax worms and he ended up catching about 20 bluegills. Still needs to work on paying a bit more attention, but at 3 years old I think he did pretty well. I even looked away for a few seconds while he had a fish on, and by the time I turned around he had the hook out and was throwing it back into the water.

Brought home 10 of the bigger fish and deep fried them, he ate every single piece of fish on his plate. That's quite an accomplishment for him because he ususally won't eat more than a bite or two before trying to run off to play.

Most fun I've ever had fishing.
