Default Finally did it.....

I have been trying for a while to get one of these little buggers on fly. Finally today I succeeded. The funny thing is I had out 2 other rods with live minnows and the fly is what got the bite. It was a fun little battle and now I can mark that one off the list.

Congratulations, nice speck. Sure would be fun to catch a mess of them on the fly.

Nice photos!

Yea. I have done it with bluegill. Crappie so far have been hit or miss. However, I just ordered some small clouser minnow flies (dubbed "crappie candy") and am hoping those will perform better and rule out bluegill. The fly I was using today also tempted a lot of bluegills.

Nice! I have never caught a bat fishing. That has to be some kind of record!
