Default 15.5 pound pike ice fishing today.

Went out today and managed 3 pike. I was using herring on a tip-up a foot off bottom in 15 feet of water. First one of the day was just a small one (not even legal size), the second one was 39" (15.5 pounds/my biggest so far), and the third one was an average 4-5 pound fish that measured 29".

^This fish took some good runs and I got it to the hole a couple times before I could get its head in straight. It was hooked good so I let it play out.

Congrats young fella! I haven't heard from you in while. Have you been fishing very much lately? We do not have any northerns in my area here. They do have some in the St. John river area that the state has been trying to get fished out.

I went out quite a bit in January and caught a couple lake whitefish, 1 pike and some yellow perch. The pike fishing seems to be pretty slow here in January, but it is just starting to pick up.

I thought about getting it mounted, but I decided to wait till I get one in the 20's before I spend the money. If I ever change my mind I have pictures and measurements, so I can get a replica.
