Default Whats your favorite Rod and real combo you have?

My rod is my Quantium Tenacity AP IM7 Medium Action 6'6'' paired with my Quantium Ten300cx 6.2:1 Baitcast Reel.

My favorite is not my most expensive...

My favorite is a 6'6" Team Diawa MH with a Symetre Shimano open face spinning reels..

I have 3 spools for that reel..It's smooth and I can cast it longer than all the rest, and with pin point accuracy. It's now going on it's 3rd year. The rod I bought at Walmart for 50.00.The 90.00 reel was a gift from Buffdmac ; my son {Matthew}

I have 5 baitcasters..I mainly like them for flipping.. crankbaits...and Horny Toad

Shimano Curado 200E7 on a Falcon Bucoo 7' Medium rod.

A close second is my other setup i just got approximately 2 weeks ago which is a Shimano Curado 200E7 on a 7' Falcon HDC-7M

The 200E7 throws light lures so well that I decided I needed a second one for my light topwaters and the Falcon rods have quickly become my favorite lineup of rods.

I spent the morning surfing youtube listening to some pros..active and retired..one thing that made me feel good and I was SHOCKED . Every pro was using an open faced spinning reel. I thought I was the only one..I recounted..I have 6 baitcasters and 11 open faced..Theres were the same reason..pin point accuracy..especially flipping ..and much longer cast..can cover more water in less time..

but again..with cranks..I must use baitcasters ..something with more stability in the gear system.

I had two Tenacity's, neither lasted very long. Not the best made reel for durability in my eyes.
