none.......carp a can of corn always works for me...channel cats chicken liver or worms are hard to beat...i dont know of any really good prepared baits....its just not fresh and effective....now if you made yourown with fresh blood ect it may work well.....ive tried a few dough baits from the store...none produced more then a fish or 2....good luck...maybe someone knows.....

Just what mauser06 said, none. Natural baits work the best for channel cats. Chicken liver, night crawlers, shad, creek chubs, all work well.

Hot dogs, liver, jack rabbit, pearch, watter dogs.
I have also been told that if the smell doesnt make your hair and toenails fall out, it isnt catfish bait. Also if you want to catch big cats you need to use big bait.

You can find fresh chicken livers at most grocery stores. They' re usually sold by the pint.

Default Dough Balls

First of all you can never beat fresh bait, cut herring, shad, suckers all work great. As does night crawlers. But if you insist on making dough balls, this is a proven recipe that was taught to me by my Ex' s grandfather. Take raw burger and mix in an equal amount of shredded sharp cheddar cheese, mix this up throughly. Put it on your hook completely covering the shank of the hook. Good luck with your fishing.
