Default Fishin a new technique this morning..

OK ..we talked about this before..leaving all lures home and to be commited to another lure or lure technique..I plan to use nothing but the swim jig..all other lures stay home.

I like the idea..it makes sense..I have high respect for Gangly as a serious angler and friend.

If I go hitless it's ok Gangly.. ..but I at least want to try it..Our water conditions are quite similiar. ..and it's one day before the NEW MOON..if it's gonna work this will be the day..

I don't really have any 'Swim Jigs' but I think other jigs will work as well.I will stop though at the local tackle shop and see if they have any. I have plenty of jigs though..

Time flys the hour before daylight so I'll be seeing ya all..let's see..

--gotta get dressed.-- empty tackle bag except for jigs..I know I'd be tempted to fish a worm or spinnerbait
--get depth finder...battery out of the shed--push premixed ocoffee on start--read a few inspiring thoughts with the wife..grab 2- rods for jigs spinning and baitcasting--hope cell phone is charged--hitch boat to truck--take vitamins--
should be set..
C ya ,

man, figures that would happen the day you decide to do it. Atleast you caught one fish, though it wasnt much, it kept you from getting skunked.

Tomorrow should be prime time for you though, and you will have your full aresenal ready to go after them. I'll get back in the office on monday and be reading about your 13lb bass that you caught over the weekend, haha.

Aaron, here is an excellent video to confirm what you have already said.

Kevin Van Dam catches loads on the swimming jig here and at the end shows how to fine tune one up..very nice video..

that video shows exactly why i would have cut that critter off before he got within 50 feet of my boat, haha. With all that commotion he made, I would be afraid he would attract the bigger gators in the water leaving me with a mess to clean out of my britches and the boat when i got home, no thanks, lol. What line were you using? It held up well considering all those teefy's in that gators mouth.
