Default Added one to the board..

I was trying out my $25 boat motor today as I haven't used it in over a year. It gave me a hard time at first so I went home and cleaned the carb out ect.. I then took it out for a while this evening along with my step son. I took a fishing pole just to mess around with. Well the boat motor ran great except for the fact it would run slow enough for a decent troll. I caught 3 bass and a nice white perch. The biggest bass was almost 3 1/2 lbs, my next bass was roughly a 2 lber. small and real fat. the last bass wasn't much bigger than a minnow LOL.. The biggest was hooked quite badly so father in law to eat. ( I can not eat them ) When the biggest one hit the water just exploded.. I love it when they do that.. LOL..

Thanks Chuck, I tried some deep water fishing for lakers the day before yesterday and caught 2 smallmouths. They were around 1 1/2lbs. each and was down around 60 feet. I couldn't believe that they were down so deep. Most bass would normally be around 10 feet down at the most in the cold water lake I was fishing in. That was pretty strange and 1 of them was marked up pretty good. I am thinking it was almost dinner for a laker.

I also got my motor trolling nicely now. I worked on the needle valves while fishing and slowed it down some..

No problem Chuck, and I am not in it for the money. I am thinking you might want to keep an eye on this guy this year. I have 2 weeks vacation coming up in August and I just might land one of those big bucket mouths this year. Now that I have my my small boat running decent. I might not be able to get out for a couple of weeks however because of time schedules. Hopefully this Sunday I may get a day if it doesn't storm or anything. Wenesday I might be able to hit the water as well. I am not sure if I will go after smallmouths, largemouths, or lakers. I did start picking up some nice redfin shiners this evening in my bait traps. All of them so far has been 3 to 4 inches, excellent bait fish for almost any kind of fishing..

Congrats on picking up your new bow.

I purchased a Bow Tech last year from the classifieds on here. It is a sweet bow as well, now if I can find a nice buck to shoot or a nice doe in the expanded archery season would be nice. I am iching to try it out..

me too..I'm gone target practicing this morning...After doing a research on the web..looks like I got a sweet deal..Manufactors price is 899 for this bow...mine new was marked 625.00 ..I said does this come with a drop down rest? He said, "yes, pick yourself out one." I got the best one on the wall. I drove home and got my 100.00 sit eoff my older bow and he set my bow up in a trailor at the Big Buck Expo..

Some other temptations were the beautiful homemade turkey calls..I may go back and get one..He had a 50.00 pot call that was waterproof.

Back to fishin..I may do a little night fishin tonight ...I know where the fish are..they seemed to have lock jaw the last 2 days..
