Default Summer the best time to bass fish according to Doug Hannon

Hey , I love hearing this guy. He's one of my all time favorites..Check out why he beleives the summer time is the best time to bass fish..and by the way.so do I. Maybe it's because I have more time.

I also believe summer to be the best time to bass fish as well as early fall.. I think it is because the ice is off the water and it has warmed up alot..

I kind of do too...I 've always been the spring spawn man..but when a cold front comes through...which are many in Feb. and Mar..fishing can be tough..I mean I'm fishing at the same places I was in Feb. - May and back then did not get a bump..same worm same set up..same moon phases..

In the summer..just as Doug has said I slow my presentation down ALOT..when I worm fish..I do alot of stationary shakey head type deal instead of ripping the worm carelessly through the weeds..Spinnerbaits are on a very slow roll..I still think moon phases play a big part so I only fish the 4 days before the new and full moon..

Fall and Winter..don't fish them anymore..archery and general gun take priority and the fishing tackle gets stored away.

I catch more bass in the summer because I know where they are thier either offshore, under docks ,or in the grass. But in the spring they could be spawning or suspended.
