Default How did you all do this lovely Sat.? { -;

Zack...the place is getting back to normal..I boated 5 ..mostly males but one stout female..about 2 1/2 pounds.

I had some more hits but we won't discuss those.

While fishing I snagged my line that was broken last week..the fish had wrapped around a cat tail and got the hook loose...but the weird thing was..my worm was still on the hook with over 35 foot of Power Pro on it..that line never broke at the hook but a weak place in the line.. that is not good.It was 20 pound test.
I had set my hook in the middle of a hydrilla flat..the line broke when I set the hook. I had presumed it broke at the hook's eye..I was wrong...must be rotten...it is over 2 years old.

Beautiful day..Zack..it's a no brainer why we haven't been catching fish..they've been tucked away in that thick blanket of hydrilla..they are feeling their oats now and are coming out.

Our bass our actually spawning now..which is the latest I've ever seen it..It's nice throwing a worm and actually getting a hit..I mostly had hits in 3-6 ' in thick hydrilla.

WOW!!! Gambler has increased the prices of their rubber worms..and I'm not biting the bait..I've got tons of other worms in other brand names..They were 3.50 for 20 now they are 4.49 for 12. I'm running out of my Christmas Tree worms..{ Purple with glitter} Here's my favorite worm.{ -;

I went from 6:40A.M. through 12:00ish..

best action I've seen all year..I got hits at all of my spots but one..I actually found a new spot that got me 4 hits..The entire month of May should be good no matter where ya live at.I am burnt..we had 9O degree weather today..I saw lots of bass activity but no monsters..I'll focus on monsters come June 10th..last day of school..The best day according to this edition of Bass Masters is MAY 13th ..
Be there! [ -;

Buckhunter...are you going fishing this year where you got those big smallmouths last year?

Aaron....I noticed in this issue of Bass Masters that Texas has a great program called ShareLunker Bass..where you can earn a lifetime free fishing license and serious cash..but the bas has to be a monster.
Aaron..I didn't get any real big fish but it's nice feeling the tap again.LOL
I actually caught 4 in a row...then I missed 2 in a row and looked at my worm real good.] -; I had the wrong sized hook on there.I had a 5/0 worm hook that I had previously used for a 10inch worm on another trip..I quickly put on a smaller size and my next tap tap was set ..hooked and boated..

Marlin30-30-Drabe..what does drabe stand for? I know all about the 30-30 Marlin..that rifle is one sweet rifle. I'm getting groups in the red at 100 yds..If ya ever have trouble with the lever sticking or getting stuck..let me know.It takes 30 seconds to fix. I put the tru glo sites on mine as well..but then went back to a scope..

MTHands { The Member Who Made the Jig famous} any day in May should work partner..According to Bass..they can be found in all stages in May..shoreline..drop offs ..deep holes..I'm going for the big one too..I'm behind two pounds .thanks to you.I hate playing catch up.
