I really was thinking about going after gar Does anyone know how to catch them other than the rope lures l've heard about.

I had some luck using raw uncooked strips of pork fat as bait ( fished both under a bobber & on the bottom)

( still hard to get a hook im so i was trying some small sets of treble hooks- but im no longer fishing for them now- sad to say there are none here & we stoped traveling so far to fish now)

Zack..caught alot on small torpedoes..their mouth's are tough so difficult to set the hook
