Default Time to hit the NH streams this week....

I will be meeting up with one of my sons on Thursday morning at the camp. We spent last weekend getting it opened for another season. Storm windows are down, down trees removed, water is on, electricity, gas, cable, all set. We plan to fish a few nearby streams and small rivers. My son recently bought his new toy, an Orvis flyfishing rod/reel setup. He got it from his older brother who is a profession Orvis fly fishing guide in Breckenridge, CO.

So, time to get out the flys and enjoy a few days of trout fishing in NH. We'll just see how his new fangle fly rod does but don't bet against Dad. There ain't many things in life I do well, but catching trout is one of them.

Our water table is very high. Most streams are as high as I have ever seen. We had record rain here in New England, especially down south in RI/CT and parts of MA just a few weeks ago. NH got it's share of rain, my basement can attest to that. We also have the warmest Spring so far.

And what's the weather forecast for this weekend? Yep, more rain.
