Default Steelhead Pictures [2]

Well, too bad these don't count for the bass tournament. Nothing extremely large but solid fish. My buddy just bought a brand new camera so most of the pictures are on that, but here are a few from my camera that I took time to upload. Peak of the run was last week in some rivers and this coming week in others. Life is good.

Definately not. I release most of them unless I am in dire need of some goods (eggs/skein).

Many people do like them, and other people like them smoked. I don't mind, if I ever keep a fish there are plenty of landowners to take them. Gotta stay on their good side!

If someone likes Steelhead, more power to them. I just don't think they know what good fish tastes like...

I said the same thing to one of my fishing buds last fall when we were trading up steelies for mudsharks on the stringers. He loves them silvers deep fried.

What area are you catching them at? Are they fresh or holdovers?

Do you see that first picture?!? No holdover fish is that bright. Thats only been in the river system a few days if that. Most if not all of our holdovers have spawned and left.

I am fishing the Great Lakes Tributaries. Mainly Lake Michigan tribs.
