Question Reel Question

What have you used that has been good? Brands, specific names, just as long as it's a spinning reel. I will not use baitcasters after a series of nasty birdsnests last year.........
It would be used mainly for Pike Fishing and some Bass fishing. Thanks guys,
BigBuck95

+1 on what chuck said .Still can't beat the penn reels but they do get a little pricey.

You can't go wrong with the Shimano's. They are excellent quality. I ahve 10 of them, and each and every one performs flawlessly. The Spheros 4000 has handled 30# pike great, and the sidestab has handled 10# walleye and rainbows with ease.
