Congrats! I went out yesterday and got back late.. I never caught a fish but had 3 strikes.. The ice on shore was pretty rough as it is breaking away and had to jump the sled across it to get onto it. Where I went I was cutting 14 inches while others were cutting 16 to 18 inches on another part of the lake..

I was planning on heading out today but run into problems coming home last night. The gas peddal on my S 10 came unhooked and had to tie a peice of string to the cable to make it back.. It was kind of different to drive home using a peice of string and a stick for a throttle, LOL .. I kept up with the speed limits though...

I went out yesterday and had a nice catch of 3 crappie and about 90 pounds of gills. I had to walk through water to get off and the ice is getting real soft. I have a birthday prty to go to today and not sure if there will be safe ice tomorrow. Today the wind is up and it is raining and the end of the ice fishing is near.

I just checked it out and I am done for the season. No reason to push it and ruin a great year.
