Catfish secret bait!!!!!!

Of course you all know the typical bait used
for big river catfish (cutbait,worms,doughballs,ect.)
But in this forum i want to here about the "secret baits"
I've heard of old timers using whole rabbits
To rednecks dippin bait in motor oil--- Illegal and very stupid!!!!!
so please share what you've heard or what you use

Read an article years ago about using Ivory soap for catfish.Put it in a pot and boil untill soft enough to cut into 1" squares.

WHEAT BREAD DOUGH..
when i was a kid, we would go to the fishing barges at night, and there was this guy, he would put a golfball size piece of wheat bread dough on his hook, and in minutes he was pullin up fish where we had to use the barges net, which is huge, to pull them in.1 after the other..

My 2 largest catfish were caught on....
a white rooster tail spinner and a large wild shiner..

I consistantly caught a lot one night on minnows while fishing for crappie..my best bait is 2 or 3 redworms on a hook...on a still day..I fish with no weight at all so I can see the suttle bite..I have a place where I can honestly catch a good sized cat every 5 minutes easy..HOWEVER; catfish is my least favorite fish to catch and eat. I 'm a bass, bluegill and crappie man..{ -:

I've caught many on the white rooster tail 3/8th spinner in the Potomac River in front in Washington DC..This 12 pounder was caught on a Rooster in central Florida...thought I had a real good bass. In the background are my rabbits..I raise redworms..I have a mist sprinkler system under the cages. Most of the bunnies are gone now.I only have 2 rabbits left and one set of cages, which is plenty to keep a few thousand redworms.

I dont catfish, but last spring while on my vacation in Texas, I caught a 60# Flathead on a spinnerbait in late March. I thought I had a World Class Bass on for about 5 seconds, then I knew something was up. LOL

Chicken Livers. Go to the grocery store and buy some chicken livers. Let them sit out in the sun for an hour before using, but keep the lid on so that they dont dry out.
