Default Day Two of First Ice [Pictures]

Well, the fishing remains excellent and should continue for about a week. When isn't fishing excellent though, right? Catching alot of big ole slabs that are the best eating fish is just a very large bonus!

Myself with the morning of Day 2's catch

Day 2's afternoon

I'll be going out tomorrow but not for flat fish. Nobody has spikes (maggots) around here yet which I need to catch gills seeds and crappie and I hear some of the yellow perch grounds are frozen and they take a bare bibit. My goal is 50 pounds.

Congrats again buckhunter! and Congrats to your girlfriend as well!!

Good Luck on the perch C.I. I will be to busy getting things done for the holidays and all right now. I was coming home from the town dump this morning and saw 3 eagles out on the ice out front. That ice is never safe as it is shallow and has moving water constantly where the eagles were..
