OK folks,
I want to put a better hackle with stronger hooks on the back of my 3 inch long Rooster taill.

i'm not that big into the "red" craze, but i like some, i chose hook "A" in a size 4

The Rooster before modified is on the bottom..a White 3/8 th..

I chose C..I expect thise white feathers to open up a bit...also in a # 4..The original is a # 6 and 60 % will get off unless you keep a tight line and have a net handy

I would choose A if it were me and dress it up with a blend of red and white maribou..

m.t. ..are my eyes playing tricks on me or is one of them treble hooks bigger than the other two?
I know you can buy trebles like that..

after a second look at them they do appear larger, i use the x-calibur 4's on my baits, that picture is of the david fritts version, they may be a little different, they are a little higher, buy you a pack of the size "4" x-cal's, like i said before you can't walk by them W/O getting stuck,

they also appear to be a lot more durable than factory dressed hooks

the best ones i have ever seen were made by a guide on lake alltoona (mike bucca) he sold out ( to a company ) last time i spoke with him he mentioned that the man had passed and they are no longer available, he did give me the recipe but i don't need anymore hobbies
