Default A couple of Rooster Tail tips for ya...

Here's a little inspiration I got today..I love fishing the Rooster tail and plan to fish it tomorrow..However..the entire body of the lure turns which twist up your line REALLY fast..

see video..watch thetreble hooks..turn through the water..not good..

here's the 2 tips.
1. Willow leaves are not cheap..before tossing out the old Rooster tails cut off the willow leaves..they will fit unto your weedless small baits nicely..

2.I got this inspiration today..to keep from twisting your line and adding a big bulky snap swivel..take a sharp pair of wire cutters..cut the front of the wire of the spinner near the twist..add a tiny #8 barrel swivel..now with a pair of pliars bend the wire shut so the barrel swivel stays on..The wire should stay fixed during a fight..very strong wire..and no more line twist.
