Default Stripers on Lake Walenpaupack

I am planning on doing some night fishing at Lake Walenpaupack in PA this week for stripers and was wondering what is best to use and where to go. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I'd try live shad hooked through the lip trolling slowly .

I usually use swimbaits during the day and at night I use shad.

Here we fish break water where the rivers and sea water mixes. We used poppers and large rapala type lures for them. The poppers we pop on top of the water while reeling in slowly. The rapala are retrieved rather quickly. These we use during the day and at night we use another technique. We like to use chunks of cut up mackeral and a sliding sinker. We cast them out and just let them sink while the tide keeps them moving around out there. We also use small eels fished the same way. This from fishing from land though and works quite well for us. We take a piece of PVC pipe and stick it in the ground to set our poles into. We keep the drag set lightly so that the stripers can dun some while we get the pole ready. We also use a Coleman Lantern and a piece of tin foil . We set the lantern up so that it can shine into the water where we are fishing at. Then take the tin foil and put it up on the back side of the lantern to help direct more light out there. After that we just sit back and watch our pole tips..
