Default Lake Erie

Hey guys I'm making a trip to Buffalo this weekend to visit my sister and am bringing a boat along to take out on Lake Erie and try to catch some smallmouths. Anyone have any kind of advice of where to go or what to use this time of the year?

You may possibly hit the tail end of the spawn.

My best advice would be to find beds in 5-25 FOW. You should be able to visibly see them without a problem on a semi-calm day.

For lure/bait choice, anything you can lay on their bed. Wether it be a rubber tube or live crawler. Find what they are hitting better once you have located the fish.
