june 6th Fishing report...let's hear about it from your region.
Friday 6:00 =7:3-Well..today's the last day of school until August 24th
School started this morning at 8:00 AM..my fishing hole is about 1 mile from the school..[8D]so I took my boat out before school.I used a Horny Toad..Model A Crankbiat.Chartruse Tirger and an Arkansas Fluke..It's 2 days before the full moon..
Almost struck out..[&o]nothing on the crank...nothing on the fluke..fact..the water was slick as glass and nothing stirring..I started day dreaming and was squish..squishing the Horny Toad when all of a sudden about 6 feet from the boat. SPLASH!! it freaked me out..[]I didn't think about letting it run my reaction just set the hook..and I got lucky..I caught her..just under 2 pounds..that was it.
Forget my crankbait plan tomorrow..I'm taking everything I got and I'm going after them.spinners, worms, jigs..Horny Toads..maybe some live shiners[&:]
I'm off for 72 days.
Arrived at 6:00 Thunder all around me in the distance..Horn Toaded 2 hydrilla islands ...nothing. 1.Piched a little section of cat tails ..got one on a Christmas Tree Gambler 7 inch worm.. 2 pounds.
Threw a crankbait..over and over again nothing. 2.Fished another hydrilla island with Toad..fish on..fish boatd.
Tied on a Strike King 1/4 ounce white spinner bait..missed a 2 pounder by the boat 3.Tied on a Rooster Tail..first cast boated one. 4.Strike King got one in the boat... 5.Gambler worm producedanother for the boat 6.Horny Toad got another in the boat.. 8:00
Tried Shad Rap alot...nothing 7.10:00 One more off the Strike King..
10:30 ..Need to beat the storm coming in,,,I left..too windy anyhow..[8D] Summary..an ok day fishing,[8D] Total was 7 bass..biggest only 2 pounds..that first fish flippin.
I went out to day i got there about 7:10 missed two bass right off the bat. then i started to connect on about 5 fish in a row. all of these were on a 6" Zoom worm in this ugly light purple with blue glitter color i hate it but the fish don't. then i tried a big leapord frog that i caught but he flew off the hook when i casted him, and i then watched a nice bass take him under a few seconds later. i went back to the worm and caught several more bass and some big bluegill. the fish really shut down at 9:30 so i called it a day.

1 day before the full moon and a west wind..[:-]Should have been a great morning..but their was a temperature change..actually I'm slow about the baromic pressures..all I know was that the bite was off.after 8.00 AM ..I carry 2 batteries with me..The wind was so bad I had one dead battery by 10:00..
Both Horny Toads were interesting..I was totally relaxed when they boiled up..it went like this ... Swish ..swish ..swish...BOIL !!! .....I just watched my line..going ..going..going..set I caught both fish like that..didn't set the hook till 5 seconds later..they love to eat the Toad...not just attack it.
Pressure was decreasing this morning, then it stabled out and started rising again, which is no bueno for fishing. It should be back to normal by tomorrow.

I finially got out today for a few hours. The grass is not yet outa the water so out frog bite is about a month away. I was fishing some flooded timber ranging from 8' out to about 43'. I found my best fish were coming form me having the boat in 18' and casting up to about 12'. I was slow on the hook set, not fishing in 8 weeks will do that to ya. I will get out again tomorrow and try and catch some off the ledges on Pickwick. Ill Post a report tomorrow. hopefully some i can take a photo of and get some weight on the board

I didnt get many bites this afternoon, but it was better since the pressure has leveled out. Better quality for me too, had one around 2 3/4 and 3 3/4 lbs this afternoon. One came on a Zoom Red Shad and the other came on a Super Fluke Smokin' Shad.I also managed to break one off that was real nice. Fish were the fattest I have seen all year, feedin' on the Shad in this pond as hard as they can go.

haha august 24th is my b-day
and in my lake all bass have been caught shallow with either worms or spinners
probably because of the cold weather they're stayin shallow for warmth
