What color and weight spinner baits do you generally use, and why?
How do you generally fish your spinnerbait?
I've read where some people skim it as close to the top of the water as possible, while others use it like a jig, bounce and hoppingit across the bottom surface occasionally reeling it in a few feet before using it like a jig again.
What are your thoughts or strategies when trying to fish a spinner bait?
Phew, I asked a few more questions in this post than what the topic title states, sorry [8D]

How do you generally fish your spinnerbait? varies greatly, i have jigged them, and i have "waked" them just under the surface this is deadly in the fall. in grass i'll fish it just above and cutting thru the upper layers of grass, trees, run it thru whatever you canvery versital lure you can fish from 6" to 20 plus
I've read where some people skim it as close to the top of the water as possible, while others use it like a jig, bounce and hoppingit across the bottom surface occasionally reeling it in a few feet before using it like a jig again. i stumbled across a pattern once at eufaula[&:], i would throw the bait into the edge of the grass and let it just flutter down, i'll admit i figured it out when i had a back-lash[:-][&o][:@], i had been chunking and winding all morning with little to no results, then fell into this, it was with a manns classic spinerbait in 3/8 white with a gold and silver blade, and a white trailer, the fish were killin it[8D], caught one over seven and several in the 3-5# range, had a lot of other guys scratchin there nogginsat weigh in[8D]
What are your thoughts or strategies when trying to fish a spinner bait? mix it up, try a little bit of everything..
FWIW, my favorite SB is a stanley wedgein 3/4oz, tandem willow-leafgold blades, with a pumpkin red skirt

Thanx for all the help guys, appreciate it. I will be trying out the crank baits and spinner baits this week/weekend and wanted some advicefrom people who have used them with success. Thanx again.
There are some Ox-Bow lakesaroundBenders Landing that were very secluded until recently. A little farther north is a neighborhood called White Oak Estates and there are some nice fish in one of the tanks back there. Also, across from The Woodlands is a run down area called Tamina. Behind Tamina is a pretty wooded area that has a few secluded tanks that have been there forever and have had very little fishing pressure. The only reason I found them was because i was about a half mile back in the woods on a 4 wheeler and came across them by accident when coming to the end of a trail. There are TONS of little honey holes back in the woods in the Spring and Conroe area because it is so close to the San Jacinto River.

I like to use a white or chartreuse in murky or muddy water and black and silver with a little blue in the skirt. My favorite size is nothing bigger than 1/4 ounce. Also my favorite brand is booyah.
I SLOW ROLL it where you can see the spinners spinning and watch the fish take it.
I like putting it about 7 inches from the top of the water since I usually fish shallow water with it.
I use two colorado blades on mine so it gives off plenty of vibration , but dosen't pull like a mule.
cool, i used to live close to hooks airportoff spring cypress
have you ever been to the spring crawfish festival?
Heck yeah!!!!
Used to go there quite often. However, for the past 2 years I have started doing my own boils for far cheaper and dont have to deal with all the drunks. I do miss the caramel apples and funnel cakes though .
